Come and see
The disbelief that grew into a baby
Wrapped in swaddling things, while bringing truth and justice and delivering the grade school girl being sold for sex down my street.
He grew and we grew
To hate him more
Disbelieve anew
Doubt daily
While he healed the bleeding, raised the dead, and calmed the seas
We looked for ways we didn't need him, and even traded him for a few coins
While he would have killed for you, we killed him
Here's where it gets tricky: he lives to tell the story of his death.
He came back because he wasn't done
He had a few more stories to tell, a couple more people to heal, and some generosity to scatter
All in an effort to show us
This is what can happen
when you water your relationship with the God of peace & purpose
Babies fed
Lives freed
Bodies protected
Hearts scooped up
Do a little gardening.
Who doesn't like flowers?
