who?

i've never experienced desperation like i did in haiti. every person i met, even little kids, had a theme to their life's story, and most of the themes were depressing.

but then there would be the handful who were "just a little different."

despair that once ruled the lives of many of the people i met, suddenly ended when ... Jesus happened.

and i think Jesus "happening", means something different to any person that's ever met him...

Jesus happens a lot to me. i feel like i understand more about the character of Jesus, when i can comprehend some of his power.

i was reading about when Jesus calmed the storm, in mark chapter four the other day. and at the end, all the disciples say, "who is this? even the wind and the waves obey him!"

so i added a few more, "who is this's?"

who is my God, that he can heal? who is my God, that he can raise from the dead, and be raised from the dead? who is my God, that his delight is in the lost - those searching for his love? who is my God, that he is just? who is my God that he loves more than any other could possibly imagine?
