when i awake, i will be satisfied with seeing your likeness.
psalms 17:...15
just as the Lord rises to show us compassion, i want to rise and see the likeness of Jesus.
if i could touch the hem of his garment... if i could hear the sound of his voice... catch one glimpse of his face...
nothing would be the same. i wouldn't think the way i do now. i would have a different perspective. like i was peering from above.
hanging in the hallways of montclaire elementary are drawings displaying different perspectives. students were asked to draw a picture of what they thought they looked like from above.
these drawings are incredible. i'm amazed at how they were able to, so perfectly, pinpoint their imaginations on paper, and make these images in their minds come to life.
i wonder what i would see if i was looking down from way up high.
i know i would see hurt and hunger. i know i would see wealth and excess. i would see justice and injustice, and i would see an across the board need for the same thing.
the likeness of Jesus.
