i've read romans before. a lot of times actually. but this hasn't ever stuck out to me like it did just now...
"... just as the result of one trespass was condemnation for all men, so also the result of one act righteousness was justification that brings life for all men. for just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous."
this verse made me think about the importance of one lately. the number one is crucial to the core of every soul. in every heart, there is only one person or thing residing there.
i stumbled upon this verse, looking for scriptures about justification. i know my right for justification is non-existent, so i've been trying to shift my focus for justification to that of discovering what rights i do have as a follower of Jesus.
what rights do i have? none.
but it's so encouraging to find verses like these in the midst of searching for something tangible when it comes to trying to erase the pain inflicted by others, especially members of the body of Christ.
the impact of one becomes a matter of great importance when i look at the great issue pain. although there are many different routes i could take to erase this aching … there is only one that will really heal the wounds.
