when the highlighter bleeds through

have you ever noticed how there is always another side to everything?

any idea i have, i'm sure someone has had the same sort of idea, played out a different way.

and now, when i'm so sick of packing - it's all for the sweetness of moving to the other side of town.

there are a lot of different kings of other sides. sometimes i like the other side, and sometimes i don't understand it. but i just discovered another really cool "other side".

i was reading my Bible, and i had highlighted something that was on one page in Galatians. and when i turned the page, it had bled through perfectly to highlight a word that i've been thinking about a lot lately ...

righteousness.

in Galatians 3 it says, "consider abraham: 'he believed in God, and it was credited to him as righteousness."

so what does righteousness mean?

the expected and incredibly annoying dictionary definition: the quality or state of being righteous.

thanks...

i think righteousness is really being able to pursue the heart of God freely, because you have been justified with his son's blood. you are free to believe in something, someone, you cannot see, because he has bought you with a price - and you are righteous.

it seems to me that in order to be righteous - we must also have confidence. it seems so impossible to believe in the love of another, without a certain amount of belief in yourself ...

"so do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. you need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised." Hebrews 10:35
